Patrick F. Stier
Wealth Manager
Patrick Florian Stier was born on December 12, 1988 in Stuttgart as the son of an entrepreneur. From a young age, he was fascinated by economic issues and enjoyed accompanying his parents to meetings with business partners and banks. As a teenager, he already managed his own portfolio, as well as some of the family properties.
Patrick was a competitive judo champion until early adulthood. He won the Württemberg and Baden-Württemberg Championships several times, took 3rd place at the International German Championship in 2004 and won the German Cup with the Württemberg state association in the same year. He was the youngest holder of a black belt in Germany and in 2005 the youngest starter in the German Premier League (1. Bundesliga) for his home club, KSV Esslingen.

ACADEMIC CAREER
After graduating from high school in 2008, Patrick studied economics at the universities of Stuttgart-Hohenheim and San Diego, California (USA). During this time, he completed two internships, the first in the investment banking department of a major German bank and the second at a private bank in Munich. He wrote his bachelor’s thesis on a specially developed investment strategy, which was subsequently tested and further developed in real time by a private bank. In 2012, he received a Bachelor of Science degree, in addition to several letters of recommendation from his professors.
His path then led him to the elite British Queen Mary, University of London, where he received a Master of Science degree in Investment and Finance at the age of 24, with a final grade of Distinction. For his master’s thesis, he developed a formula to help better explain stock returns.
PROFESSIONAL CAREER
Patrick started his professional career in 2014 as a management consultant at Ernst & Young. There, he worked for the Transaction Advisory Services department, which is particularly responsible for providing comprehensive advice on corporate acquisitions and sales, both on a national and international level. The largest transaction he was involved in was worth over €2 billion.
In 2015, he became a portfolio manager at a Swiss asset manager, Landert Family Office Deutschland AG (now SALytic Invest AG). He quickly built up his own client base and eventually managed a sum in the mid-double-digit million range as an asset manager with sole responsibility. On January 1, 2020, Patrick was appointed authorized signatory. Since his departure, he has been working as an external asset management consultant for SALytic Invest AG.
Since October 1, 2020, Patrick has been the founder and managing director of Stier GmbH, based in Stuttgart, Germany!
